Why it's better than other cooking oils?
Better than other vegetable oils
Most commercially available vegetable oils are refined, bleached,
and deodorized (RBD), and contain chemicals used in processing
which results into a significant loss of their valuable
nutrients. Extra Virgin Olive Oil on the other hand, is
produced by simply pressing the fruit (olives), and it
is the only oil that can be consumed as is, without any
further chemical processing.
Better than butter
It’s a better alternative to butter, because not only it’s healthier (olive oil is cholesterol-free, whereas butter is full of saturated fats), but it can also boost your weight-loss effort. Why? Because olive oil has a much higher satiating power than butter, meaning it makes you “feel full” quickly and stop eating sooner.
Great for all cooking methods
Olive oil is not only for salad dressings and marinades, but it can be used with any cooking method. It’s great for frying because it has a high smoke point, meaning it preserves the actual taste of the food and it retains all of its nutritional benefits, even when cooking with high heat. It’s also great for baking because the natural antioxidants (such as vitamin E) in olive oil help to keep baked items fresher for a longer period compared to items baked with butter.
Other uses
Olive oil can be used for beauty regimens or enviromentally
safe alternatives to hazardous household products.
